Starting Feb. 3!
Michelle Greis, Yogi
I began teaching a group of four firefighters in a sweaty weight room at a firehouse. Word slowly spread and the classes grew. When I started teaching it was purely from a physical aspect. I realized first responders need more than that. I began to incorporate mindful breathing and stretching for injury prevention. I believe it is my calling to give back to first responders who give so much of themselves for others.
Yoga has been a part of my life for 10 years. I was an avid runner and took my first class from a power yoga teacher to help prevent injuries. I fell in love with yoga in that class. I decided to become a teacher so I could share my passion for yoga with others. I completed my 200 hour Vinyasa Flow training.
While I love the physical aspect of yoga, I also incorporate mindfulness and presence. My classes allow you to unplug for one hour to balance your mind, move your body and focus on the present moment.
